Lagos Games Group (LGG), a social organization that promotes recreation and values-building through a board, card, role-play and interactive games decided to extend their philanthropic hearts by providing recreation to disadvantaged children in reputable charitable organizations within Lagos State. JAKIN N.G.O was fortunate to be listed as one of the beneficiaries of this worthy cause as the LGG team stormed the August edition of Jakin Children’s Club (JCC) for 500 orphans and vulnerable children monthly meeting with games such as cards, ayo, scrabble and also loads of biscuits, chinchin, drinks, water along with take-home nutritional support of 40cartons of noodles.

The day wasn’t all about the games as the children also received enlightenment talk on Lasa fever from JAKIN N.G.O staff and volunteers before the fun time began. The LGG team delivered to the words of Ms Chidinma Obi one of their organizers who said “We will organize the games… as we find that game-play inspires natural opportunities to explore value subjects like teamwork, strategy, entrepreneurship, mathematics, English, patience, forgiveness, etc. which we will readily explore with the children!”

They made the children feel loved as they mingled lovingly with the kids, laughing, chatting and playing with them even as they passionately taught them how to play the games.Watching these children snacking on digestive biscuits with cups of drink in their hands as they were playing games with LGG team was deeply touching. The LGG team have given these kids and even Jakin team a lifetime experience, Thank you for been our August Angels with the Games!
