126 Widows across 9 LGs benefitted from April 12th Widows’ Medical Outreach during JAKIN N.G.O monthly Widows group meeting.
In commemoration of the 2023 annual World Health Day under the theme “HEALTH FOR ALL”.

Outcome:
*45 had high Blood Pressure, 39 already on anti hypertensive treatment, 6 referred to PHC

*126 HIV Counseling & Testing conducted, 5 tested positive, 3 immediately linked to health facilities for free services.

*100 tested for Malaria, 8 received free anti malaria drugs

* 126 screened for Tuberculosis, 37 presumptives collected, 1 TB Case detected to be linked to DOT Clinic for free treatment.

*126 free blood Sugar level checked, 9 had high Blood Sugar – 1already on Diabetes treatment, 8 referred to PHC

*All 126 widows received free weight check and routine drugs.

*They also received a take home package (Spaghetti and Detergent Soap), light refreshment, transport stipend, clothes, hand bags etc

✓ 16 new widows attended this month meeting

✓ Beneficiaries came from 9 LGAs – Ikorodu, Mainland, Kosofe, Oshodi, Alimosho, Surulere, Shomolu, Apapa and Eti-Osa. beneficiaries received free medical check-up such as BP & weight check, Blood sugar level check, Malaria (RDT) test, Tuberculosis screening, HIV counselling screening and testing (HCT), free anti-malarial drug (Only for Malaria positive beneficiaries), free routine drug dispensing, nutritional support pack and transport allowance.
