In August – December, 2011, Jakin was selected through an assessment by Family Health International (FHI) team to implement the USAID funded Integrated Community based TB care component of TB  prevention within Iwaya and Oko Agbon communities of Mainland Local Government. 5 community Volunteers were trained for the project, so far 49 TB suspects have been referred for DOTS and 4 are receiving treatment while 6 community social mobilizations were conducted.
