USAID/SFH/ FUNDED STRENGTHENING HIV/AIDS PREVENTION SERVICES FOR MOST AT RISK POPULATION (SHIPS FOR MARPS) PROJECT
Jakin N.G.O commenced implementation of the USAID funded SFH SHIPS FOR MARPS Project in Alimosho, Ikeja, Oshodi/Isolo, and Surulere Local Government Areas in April 2016. The objective of the project is to reach non brothel base female sex workers in the 4 designated lgas of lagos state with HIV peer education and Interpersonal communication (IPC) using the different interventional mix available on the pep manual to communicate behavioral change messages. As at January 2017, 5,312 non brothel female sex workers have reached, 112,307 male condoms, 3,076 lubricants, and 4,101 have been distributed for HIV intervention.
