On Thursday 22nd October, the Inner heart group – an employee initiative of PZ Cussons Nigeria PLC made good its promise of donating ten Computer Systems, ten ups, eleven computer tables, one 8.1 kva Generator, one 1.5 hp Split Unit AC, one refrigerator and one 3 burner gas Cooker for the empowerment of vulnerable children and youth through JAKIN N.G.O Fresh Foundation Project (FFP).
The ICT center was commissioned by Mrs. Yomi Faturoti, Corporate Affairs Director and Mr Vikramjeet Singh, Marketing Manager.  The duo along with 30 members of the group arrived at JAKIN N.G.O premises around 2:15pm on Thursday, 2nd October, 2014 for the grand event.
Mrs. Yomi Faturoti in her brief speech appreciated all the PZ Cussons members of staff pulled their resources together to make the vision a reality. She explained that the Inner Hearts group is an initiative of employees of PZ Cussons geared towards establishing community projects with the aim of showing love to the less privileged. She further mentioned that the ICT Centre and catering training equipment donation to the N.G.O is a show of their love and support for grass root empowerment.
The Marketing Manager, Mr. Vikramjeetin in his remarks admonished JAKIN N.G.O team to ensure that the center is used for the benefit of vulnerable members of the community. He also stated that the Inner heart group is looking forward to working more with Jakin N.G.O.
In her response, the President/CEO of Jakin NGO, Mrs Olubukola Adebiyi appreciated the members of staff of PZ Cussons for their visit and the exceptional show of love. She shed more light on the structure and various activities of the NGO. She mentioned that the ICT/Business Centre being commissioned will be part of the Fresh Foundation Project (FFP) of the NGO. She further stated that the FFP is a highly subsidized basic business management principles, computer appreciation and office automation machine training for the re-orientation and reformation and empowerment of indigent in and out-of-school youths in Lagos state.
She stated that the goal of this project is to literarily transform the beneficiaries into skillful and efficient potential employees/entrepreneurs of businesses and administrative offices. She also said that the project has already graduated 253 participants in its first phase which is the basic business management arm.
She concluded that the second phase will kick off with the setting up of the Information Communication Technology centre. Jakin N.G.O promised to make good use of the Centre to the glory of God and benefit of the society.
